Hey there, I’m Stephanie de Jager.

Cape Town based Artist, Photographer and Business Strategist

Even though I am currently based in South Africa, I am willing to travel all over the world for commissions.

My passions include, but is not limited to, photography, traveling, wildlife and the outdoors, health and fitness, fashion and beauty, coffee, good food, fine wine, craft beers and definitely empowering others.  I love going on fun adventures and doing last minute, not well planned, trips with my husband.

"We're all wired differently - we think differently, feel differently, react differently. Therefore, we should make life choices that make us thrive. We should not focus on doing what is deemed the norm by society, but we should start doing what we are passionate about and gives us joy. The pursuit of money, won't make you happy. If you follow your heart and passions, success and most likely money will follow. If not, at least your enjoying life and not living for each pay check."

- yours truely

I have a BAccounting Honours degree from the University of Stellenbosch.  During my second last year of studies, in 2013, my husband and I founded the business. It started as a photography business, but has grown into so much more - now focusing on photography, digital content creation, consulting and the empowerment of others.

My husband and part-time business partner, Shaun de Jager, has a BSc Computer Science Honnours degree from the University of Stellenbosch and is currently working full time at Amazon AWS.  We have been together since 2009 and are happily married since December 2014.

We're a young, vibrant, active and ambitious couple with a great love for coffee, wildlife, the outdoors, fun adventures together, last minute trips, Apple products, fashion, fine dining, boutique wine, craft beers, decent whiskeys and photography of course.

After 4 years of studies and completing more than half of my CA articles, I made the decision to start focusing full time on my growing photography business.  It was tough, because I was brought up to finish what I've started and to never give up.  I didn't give up, but I realized that I need to start focusing on my long term goals.  I am a creative and knew I would never practice as a CA and that I wanted to run my own creative business.  I made the decision to start focusing and building on my long term goals, rather than pursuing a title.  I knew the time spent building my business would bear more fruit than getting a title I was not going to use. This decision opened me up for a lot of criticism as most people disapproved of it and thought I was crazy, but I am proving them wrong.

I hope I can inspire you to pursue your passions and follow your dreams.

Much love,

I would love to get in touch.
